Greetings!! Moist Inky here! I have emerged from the quagmire that I was...mired in... I have a little bit of news, as well as new horrors to show you, so let's get right into it!
Rest is Important [ I know, but apparently i had to be reminded the hard way…]
First let’s address the elephant in the room: No, I hadn’t planned on being on hiatus for basically second week of September, and all but the last week of October… but it happened anyway.
This year has been a rough roller coaster ride mentally, those of you who know me IRL know this, and for those that don’t: I lost a dear, dear relative back in May which turned everything upside down, and things ain’t been the same since. every time I make something new i keep thinking to myself, “oh he would love to see that!” and, well, you get it…it sucks.
Mental health is important for creativity, and I have talked frequently about the importance of self care, that being said, I have been bad at following my own advice at times...
On top of that, I have had some health stuff crop up... I generally catch the crud around this time every year, but this time I would get better then get sick again with some new crud. This resulted in me being basically sick for about a month and a half, unable to do much beyond resting when I got home from my full time job.
If my absence has upset you, rest assured it has upset me way more. I had things I aimed to get done/or do before fall was out, and instead I had to spend it resting. But, now that things are beginning to cool off, and I have rested and recovered, my goal is to resume learning and creating!
The Good News! {aka New stuff!}
Which leads me to the next bit of news, which is way more exciting!
Because it's All Hallows Eve this weekend… I am uploading some new things to the website to haunt your dreams. "But why?" you ask? Because I love you all! You may also notice some things have been taken down. This is because I have learned how to scan stuff using my iPad, which gives way better picture quality for these things, as well as opening avenues for me to refine some of these things more.
I have also begun looking into having some stickers ordered soon. I know you guys that saw my poll on Kofi said you want stickers, and I want to make stickers happen for you guys! [and if you didn't see the poll and want to be a part of some of the decision making process next time, Click HERE]
This makes me think maybe I can do like a care package thing for those of you who want one, maybe a print of something and a sticker I send out every couple months, who knows… I have lots of ideas, but we need to have a measured approach to growing them into reality, or they will dissipate before anyone sees them.
Site updates [AKA MOAR NEW STUFF!!]
The Site is getting more reworking! there are things I have wanted to add for some time now, but i needed to learn how to do them first, some of the banners and such need reworking of course, and there are new Animations I wish to add as well, so my hope is to get the groundwork laid for that tomorrow [I am writing this on a Friday night.]
I am also going to be adding a status page so you can see what I am up to at any time, or if I am out on a break [us eldritch beings need some time to recoup as well!]
